Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is all set to headline the upcoming film ‘Single Salma’, which will release in cinemas on October 31, the makers confirmed on Monday. The announcement comes with a teaser poster shared by Qureshi on her Instagram handle, building anticipation among fans ahead of the trailer launch.
According to a PTI report, the film is directed by Nachiket Samant, known for his work in ‘Comedy Couple’ and ‘Gachchi’, and also stars Sunny Singh and Shreyas Talpade in key roles. Qureshi shared the film poster on social media with the caption: “Lucknow aur London – do sheher, do ladke aur ek sawaal – aakhir kaun banega #SingleSalma ka balma kisse hogi Salma ki shaadi. Trailer out tomorrow! In cinemas 31st October.”
‘Single Salma’, written by Mudassar Aziz, Amina Khan, and Ravi Kumar, explores the story of Salma, a woman who has dedicated her life to supporting her family but remains unmarried and unestablished, navigating societal pressures while seeking personal happiness. The film promises a blend of humor, romance, and social commentary, reflecting the struggles of modern women balancing family responsibilities with their own aspirations.
The movie is presented by Viacom18 Studios in association with Elemen3 Entertainment, adding to the studio’s growing portfolio of contemporary, content-driven films. For Qureshi, the film follows her recent release ‘Jolly LLB 3’, where she starred alongside Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi, further cementing her presence in mainstream Bollywood cinema.
With ‘Single Salma’, audiences can expect a relatable, entertaining story set against the vibrant backdrops of Lucknow and London, highlighting cultural contrasts and personal dilemmas with a light-hearted yet meaningful approach.
