After a distinguished career spanning more than 25 years, senior media professional Hemlata Sharma has officially concluded her journey with Zee Media Corporation Ltd., marking her last working day on October 7, 2025.
This farewell closes her fifth stint with the Zee Group — a rare and enduring professional association that highlights her longstanding contribution to one of India’s leading media networks.
Over the years, Sharma has been a cornerstone of Zee Media’s Distribution & Research team, where she led both national and international distribution strategies for the network’s diverse bouquet of news channels. She played an instrumental role in expanding Zee Media’s footprint across connected TV (CTV) platforms, while also championing innovative projects in Esports and digital transformation, effectively bridging the gap between traditional broadcast and emerging media ecosystems.
Her contributions have been widely recognized across the industry. Known for her strategic thinking and collaborative leadership, Sharma helped Zee Media strengthen its market presence and adapt to the rapidly evolving content consumption patterns.
Reflecting on her journey, Hemlata Sharma said in an official statement, “After an enriching tenure at Zee, I have decided to move on. My journey with the company has been both dynamic and rewarding — having begun in the cable television space and evolving through multiple portfolios across the network. Mentoring young talent and working alongside exceptional teams has been deeply rewarding.
