Filmmaker Vikram Bhatt’s much-awaited horror drama ‘Haunted: Ghosts of the Past’ will hit the theatres on November 21, the makers announced on Wednesday.
The film is a sequel to Bhatt’s 2011 hit ‘Haunted – 3D’, which was among the first stereoscopic 3D horror films in India and garnered a cult following among genre fans.
According to a PTI report, the director said that while the film continues in the horror space, it stays rooted in his signature style that blends romance, intrigue, and music with spine-chilling moments.
“My horror films have always been the romanticised horror films with songs, intrigue, love story and the frightening (moments), and that is ‘Haunted: Ghosts of the Past’ as well,” Bhatt said.
The filmmaker, who has earlier delivered popular titles like ‘Raaz’, ‘1920’ and ‘Haunted – 3D’, returns to the genre after nearly a decade. With the sequel, he aims to recreate the eerie atmosphere and emotional depth that made his earlier films memorable.
The announcement has already sparked excitement among horror lovers, especially fans of the original film. With its November release date, ‘Haunted: Ghosts of the Past’ is expected to bring a mix of romance, music, and supernatural thrills back to the big screen.
