New Delhi,14 Oct 2026, By IBW Team

GTPL Hathway Limited reported a 19 percent year-on-year increase in consolidated revenue to Rs.11,464 million for the second quarter of FY27, driven by growth in its Digital Cable TV and broadband businesses. The company’s active Digital Cable TV subscriber base increased by 1.5 million year-on-year to 11 million as of September 30, 2026.

The company reported an EBITDA of Rs.1,103 million for Q2 FY27, with an EBITDA margin of 9.6 percent. Its operating EBITDA margin stood at 20 percent. However, profit after tax turned negative, with the company reporting a loss of Rs.5 million compared with a profit of Rs.93 million in the corresponding quarter of the previous financial year.

Digital Cable TV revenue reached Rs.3,455 million during the quarter, registering 14 percent year-on-year growth from Rs.3,024 million in Q2 FY26. Paying subscribers increased 17 percent year-on-year to 10.3 million, reflecting continued growth in the company’s cable television business.

Broadband revenue rose 5 percent year-on-year to Rs.1,459 million, compared with Rs.1,393 million in the year-ago quarter. Broadband subscribers reached 1.07 million, an increase of 20,000 over the previous year.

As of September 30, 2026, GTPL Hathway’s broadband home-pass footprint stood at 6 million, adding 50,000 homes year-on-year. Around 75 percent of this footprint was available for fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) conversion. Broadband average revenue per user (ARPU) increased by Rs.5 year-on-year to Rs.470 per month, while average monthly data consumption per user rose 6 percent to 436 GB.

For the first half of FY27, the company reported consolidated revenue of Rs.21,663 million, up from Rs.18,741 million in H1 FY26. EBITDA stood at Rs.2,194 million, compared with Rs.2,224 million in the corresponding period last year. Profit after tax declined to Rs.17 million from Rs.198 million in H1 FY26.

Commenting on the results, Anirudhsinh Jadeja, Managing Director of GTPL Hathway Limited, said the company remained focused on expanding its footprint, improving operational scalability and strengthening its Digital TV and broadband businesses during the first half of FY27.

He highlighted the completion of the ACT Group transaction as an important step in the company’s expansion strategy. The acquisition added approximately 600,000 subscribers across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha and Karnataka, strengthening GTPL Hathway’s presence in these markets and expanding its operating scale.

Jadeja said the company’s priorities going forward would include integrating the acquired operations, strengthening its market presence, expanding its broadband business and improving operational economics. He added that the company’s wider footprint and integrated Digital TV and broadband capabilities would support future growth and long-term value creation for stakeholders.
