India’s media and entertainment industry is set to witness a major industry gathering as global and Indian leaders prepare to meet for Content India 2026, scheduled to take place from March 16 to 18 in Mumbai.

The three-day event will bring together senior decision-makers and key stakeholders from across the content ecosystem, reflecting the rapid growth of India’s media sector driven by expanding OTT consumption, regional content production and cross-border collaborations.

According to a press release, the event is being organised by Dish TV India in partnership with C21Media and aims to serve as a high-impact business forum rather than a conventional conference. The platform will focus on evolving business models, creative trends, financing structures and technological innovations shaping the future of content creation and monetisation.

The event will host a curated line-up of industry leaders representing broadcasters, streaming platforms, film studios, production houses, distribution networks, technology providers, talent agencies and investment firms. Through keynote sessions, market-focused panel discussions, networking events and private meetings, the forum seeks to facilitate meaningful dialogue, foster strategic alliances and enable co-production and commissioning opportunities.

Among the confirmed and invited speakers are Kevin Vaz, CEO – Entertainment at JioStar; Arjun Nohwar, Managing Director – India and South Asia at Warner Bros. Discovery; Mukund Galgali, Deputy CEO and Chief Financial Officer at Zee Entertainment Enterprises; Ashish Sehgal, CEO of Times Network; and Shilangi Mukherji, Director and Head of SVOD Business at Prime Video. The speaker list also includes Deepak Dhar of Banijay Asia, Aradhana Bhola of Fremantle, Deepak Segal of Applause Entertainment, Fiona Campbell from BBC Content and Frank Spotnitz, CEO and Founder of Big Light Productions, among others. Additional speakers and programme details are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

Commenting on the platform’s evolution, Manoj Dobhal, CEO and Executive Director of Dish TV India, said the initiative was conceived to provide a dedicated space where industry decision-makers can engage with clarity and purpose. He noted that the expanded three-day format will focus on enabling strategic collaborations and long-term partnerships, at a time when India’s content ecosystem is at a crucial inflection point.

As India continues to emerge as both a major content exporter and a rapidly expanding consumer market, the upcoming edition aims to unlock growth opportunities across domestic and international markets. The event is expected to bring together creative visionaries and commercial leaders to shape the future of storytelling across film, television, OTT, animation and digital platforms, further strengthening India’s role in the global content economy.
