Prasar Bharati has announced the outcomes of the 95th and 96th e-auctions for DD Free Dish, finalising channel allotments for the two-month period from February 1, 2026 to March 31, 2026.
The 95th e-auction, conducted for MPEG-2 slots, saw GTC Punjabi and Movieplex emerge as successful bidders. Both channels will be carried on the DD Free Dish platform during the allotted period, strengthening the bouquet of regional and movie content available to free-to-air viewers.
In parallel, the 96th e-auction, which focused on MPEG-4 slots, concluded with three channels securing placement on the platform. North East Live, FM News and K News India won slots under this round, expanding the presence of regional and news broadcasters on DD Free Dish’s higher-quality transmission format.
DD Free Dish continues to be a critical distribution platform for free-to-air broadcasters, offering extensive national reach without subscription costs. The latest auction results reflect sustained interest from broadcasters across genres, particularly regional and news channels looking to maximise visibility and audience access through India’s largest free DTH service.
