FanCode, an Indian digital sports-focused OTT platform, has secured exclusive streaming rights to the men’s tennis ATP Tour across the Indian subcontinent until 2028.
According to GlobalData, the rights deal, struck with the tour’s broadcast arm, ATP Media, and covers India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, the Maldives, and Nepal. It will allow FanCode to air 56 events from the top-tier ATP Masters 1000, second-tier ATP 500, third-tier ATP 250 and the season-ending ATP Finals.
Along with live tournament coverage, FanCode will also deliver non-live content, highlights, features and a weekly tennis programme tailored to fans in the region.
Mark Webster, chief executive of ATP Media, said: “This is a hugely important partnership for ATP Media and the ATP Tour. The Indian subcontinent represents a number of key markets for both existing and potential tennis fans, and by partnering with a market-leading, innovative digital platform in FanCode, we hope to mutually grow the game in the region via a partner who shares many of the same ambitions as ourselves.”
The ATP Tour has been available in India via the tour’s official streaming service, Tennis TV.
The rights add to FanCode‘s burgeoning portfolio, which includes motor racing’s Formula 1, motorcycling’s MotoGP series, as well as extensive golf, cricket and soccer rights.
The ATP Tour, meanwhile, has been consolidating its broadcast partners, most recently renewing its agreement with international pay TV broadcaster BeIN Sports, covering the Middle East and North Africa, until 2028.
