Eurosport India, the premium sports brand of Warner Bros. Discovery, has announced the acquisition of broadcast rights to the inaugural Women’s Kabaddi League.
The league is a historic step forward in the promotion of women’s kabaddi in India.
The inaugural Women’s Kabaddi League will be held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, also known as the gold hub.
The tournament will last 12 days and will feature nonstop Kabaddi action at the Shabab Al-Ahil Sports Club in Dubai.
The Women’s Kabaddi League will begin with a grand opening ceremony on June 16, 2023, and will be broadcast LIVE on Eurosport India beginning at 7:30 p.m.
The first game of the league will be played at 8:45 p.m. between the Rajasthan Raiders and the Punjab Panthers.
The tournament will feature 120 female kabaddi players from eight teams: the Rajasthan Raiders, the Delhi Dynamites, the Gujarat Angels, the Great Marathas, the Haryana Hustlers, the Punjab Panthers, Uma Kolkata, and the Bengaluru Hawks.
Fans of Indian kabaddi will be able to watch 31 thrilling matches featuring renowned players such as Harwinder Kaur (Senior National Kabaddi Player, Gold Medalist) and Moti Chandan (National Kabaddi Player – Asian Games).
