The Esports Foundation will host the Esports Festival on August 2 at the iconic Champs-Elysees in Paris as part of the ongoing Esports World Cup (EWC) 2026.
According to an Esports foundation press release from Paris today, the free open-air event aims to bring Esports closer to the public by turning one of the world’s most famous avenues into France’s biggest gaming and esports celebration.
Organised in partnership with the Comite Champs-Elysees, the festival will feature Esports competitions, gaming activities, creator meet-and-greets, live entertainment, and interactive experiences for fans, families, and newcomers. The event will also include educational sessions and panel discussions with professional Esports players and teams.
One of the festival’s highlights will be showmatches featuring French Esports pioneers alongside popular personalities from music, entertainment, and content creation. Mixed teams will compete in games such as ‘Rocket League’, ‘Trackmania’, and ‘EA SPORTS FC 26’.
The festival is part of the Esports World Cup 2026, currently being held in Paris, which is also witnessing India’s largest-ever participation in the tournament.
Indian esports organisations S8UL and GodLike Esports are competing across multiple mobile, PC, console and chess events after being selected under the Esports Foundation’s 2026 Club Partner Program. They are also engaging Indian fans through creator-led content and watch parties.
Other Indian organisations participating in the tournament include Revenant Xspark, Global Esports, Orangutan, Apex Gaming, Total Gaming, and True Rippers. Chess players also qualified through the India Rising qualifier held in Mumbai, highlighting India’s growing presence in the global esports ecosystem.
The Esports Foundation said the festival is aimed at introducing esports to a wider audience while strengthening community engagement and supporting the long-term growth of the industry.
