Krafton India has announced its H2 2026 esports roadmap for Battlegrounds Mobile India (BGMI), featuring the BGMI International Cup (BMIC) Season 2 in Mumbai and the invite-only BGMI Showdown (BMSD), with a combined prize pool of Rs. 2 crore.

The company, in a press release, yesterday said BMIC Season 2 will culminate in an offline grand finale at the Dome in Mumbai from October 30 to November 1.

The tournament will feature 16 teams comprising six from India, five from South Korea and five from Japan, competing for a prize pool of Rs. 1 crore/Rs. 10 million.

Ahead of BMIC, Krafton India will host BGMI Showdown (BMSD), an invite-only domestic championship for 48 Indian teams selected based on cumulative performances in the KIE Leaderboard, BGIS and BMPS, with no open qualifiers.

The tournament begins on September 22 and concludes with a LAN grand final from October 16-18, carrying a prize pool of Rs. 1 crore.

According to the company, BMSD will follow a multi-stage format comprising three weeks of promotion and relegation rounds, upper and lower bracket survival stages, semi-finals, a last chance stage and the LAN grand finals.

Krafton India said the H2 2026 roadmap is aimed at strengthening the competitive BGMI ecosystem by combining an elite domestic championship with an international tournament that gives Indian teams an opportunity to compete against leading Asian teams on home soil.
