Disney+ Hotstar is gearing up to captivate audiences with the grand debut of ‘Showtime’, a musical journey series set to premiere on March 8.
Beyond the glitz and glamour of Bollywood, the show promises an enthralling musical experience with a standout album featuring renowned artists like Badshah, Anand Bhaskar, Nikhita Gandhi, and more, UNI reported from New Delhi.
Presented by Sony Music, the album boasts a unique blend of tracks including ‘Bombae,’ ‘Lucky Lover,’ ‘Mahroo,’ and ‘Haara.’ Anand Bhaskar’s compositions offer a fresh perspective, steering away from typical Bollywood tunes. Noteworthy tracks like ‘Mahroo,’ a sufi masterpiece, and ‘Haara,’ a modern lo-fi piece, add emotional depth to the album.
Directed by Mihir Desai and Archit Kumar, produced by Dharmatic Entertainment and created by Sumit Roy, ‘Showtime’ features a star-studded cast, including Emraan Hashmi, Mahima Makwana, Mouni Roy, and more. The album launch signifies a departure from conventional Bollywood soundtracks, aiming to entertain while conveying unique meanings and emotions through music.
Showrunner and Director Mihir Desai expressed, “The album launch of ‘Showtime’ on Disney+ Hotstar marks a unique departure from typical Bollywood soundtracks. We wanted our album to resonate differently to avoid falling into the trap of being spoofy or derivative.”
