The Walt Disney Studios will roll out a seven-film theatrical slate this fall, spanning a 20th-anniversary Pixar re-release, an Oasis reunion documentary, a Marvel encore, two IMAX documentaries, a survival thriller and a Searchlight dramedy, the company said in a statement.

The fall lineup, according to a Disney media statement, opened September 4 with Disney and Pixar’s ‘Cars (20th Anniversary)’, returning audiences to Radiator Springs two decades after Lightning McQueen’s theatrical debut. The re-release coincides with Lightning McQueen Day on September 5.

It will be followed on September 11 by ‘Oasis: Don’t Look Back in Anger’, a documentary charting Liam and Noel Gallagher’s reunion tour, Oasis Live ’25.

Disney said the film, featuring previously unseen footage and unprecedented access, will receive a special theatrical engagement across US cinemas and select IMAX screens.

Marvel Studios will bring ‘Avengers Endgame: Encore’ back to theaters on September 25, ahead of ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, which is due on December 18.

The encore release will include an exclusive look at ‘Avengers: Doomsday’, with an additional sneak peek for audiences at IMAX and Infinity Vision-certified theaters.

The October slate begins with ESPN Films’ ‘Portrait of an Artist: Stephen Curry’on October 9, exclusively in IMAX. Directed by Gotham Chopra, the documentary captures Curry’s pursuit of his 4,000th career three-pointer and explores artistry and innovation through reflections from Viola Davis, Rick Rubin, Patti Smith and Jon Batiste.

On October 16, 20th Century Studios will release ‘Whalefall’, a thriller about Jay Gardiner, who is swallowed by a massive sperm whale while searching for his late father’s remains and has one hour of oxygen to escape.

‘Everest: The Other Side’, an IMAX documentary following ski mountaineers Jim Morrison and Hilaree Nelson on a North Face Everest attempt, follows on October 30.

The fall run closes November 6 with Searchlight Pictures’ ‘Wild Horse Nine’, a dramedy set shortly before the 1973 Chilean coup, in which CIA agents are sent to Easter Island amid personal tensions and conspiracies. Disney said the film marks director Martin McDonagh’s third collaboration with Searchlight.

Disney also flagged three major releases beyond the fall slate: Walt Disney Animation Studios’ original ‘Hexed’ on November 25, Searchlight Pictures’ ‘Behemoth!’ on Decemebr 4, and Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Doomsday’ on December 18.

The company said its studios have surpassed $4 billion at the global box office so far in 2026, with ‘Toy Story 5’ contributing more than $1.1 billion.
