Dish TV India Ltd has announced the launch of ‘VZY’, a new connected entertainment ecosystem aimed at simplifying how Indian consumers access streaming platforms, live TV and premium content across devices. The company says the platform has been designed to reduce the growing complexity of managing multiple apps, subscriptions and viewing devices.
According to a press release, ‘VZY’ is being positioned as India’s first integrated connected entertainment ecosystem that combines streaming services, live television and pay-per-view premium content into a single platform accessible through both mobile devices and Smart TVs. The launch comes at a time when viewers increasingly consume entertainment across different screens and platforms, often leading to fragmented viewing experiences.
Dish TV said modern households today are juggling multiple entertainment devices including Smart TVs, DTH services and streaming sticks, along with separate subscriptions and renewal cycles for various apps. The company believes this has created “search fatigue” among consumers who spend more time navigating apps and searching for content instead of actually watching it.
To address this, ‘VZY’ has been built around a two-layer ecosystem. The first is the VZY Streaming Platform, which brings together over 29 streaming applications, live TV channels, creator-led content and AVOD programming under one roof. The platform focuses on smarter content discovery and easier navigation, helping users find trending and relevant content more efficiently.
The second layer is the VZY Smart TV Ecosystem, which combines access to streaming apps and live TV channels through premium QLED 4K Smart TVs powered by the Google TV ecosystem. The Smart TVs also feature Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos support, aiming to provide a more immersive viewing experience.
Speaking about the launch, Manoj Dobhal, CEO and Executive Director of Dish TV, said Indian consumers no longer want another standalone app but instead seek a seamless entertainment experience. He added that VZY is designed to connect entertainment across smartphones and living room screens through one integrated ecosystem.
Sukhpreet Singh, Chief Revenue Officer at Dish TV, said the platform is focused on making entertainment simpler, more flexible and connected across devices. He noted that the ecosystem aims to help viewers spend less time searching and more time consuming content through smarter discovery tools and bundled offerings.
The launch is also being supported by a new marketing campaign during the ongoing Indian Premier League season, highlighting the growing demand for connected and hassle-free entertainment experiences.
Dish TV, which has completed over 22 years in the Indian market, said the launch of VZY marks another step towards expanding beyond traditional DTH services into connected entertainment and smart-device ecosystems.
