Deepak Jacob, Chief Regional Counsel, Direct-to-Consumer & International – India, ME & SEA, The Walt Disney Company, has quit.
Jacob is currently serving his notice period and will be with the company till mid-May.
In recent times there has been a spate of resignations at Disney after its takeover of Star. This includes Star chairman Uday Shankar, Star India MD Sanjay Gupta and earlier Hotstar chief Ajit Mohan.
Jacob has been instrumental in building up a strong legal and government relations department at Star. A sharp legal mind, Jacob is an alumni of Madras University and had come to Star from eBay.
His future assignments are not clear.
