Indian film ‘Dear Jassi’, directed by filmmaker Tarsem Singh Dhundhar, has won the prestigious platform award for Best Film at the 48th Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF).
The film is produced under the banner of T-Series Films and Wakao Films Production, UNI reported from New Delhi.
Based on the journalism of senior Canadian journalist Fabian Dawson, ‘Dear Jassi’ is written by Amit Rai.
The film stars Pawiya Sidhu and Yugam Sood in the lead roles.
After winning accolades at the Toronto Film Festival, ‘Dear Jassi’ will be screened at the BFI London Film Festival in October this year.
