The makers of ‘Dada’: The Sourav Ganguly Story have released the first look poster of the film on the birthday of former Indian cricket captain Sourav Ganguly. The poster gives fans their first look at RajKummar Rao as Ganguly.
According to an ANI report, in the poster, RajKummar Rao is seen recreating Ganguly’s famous shirt-waving celebration at Lord’s Cricket Ground after India’s historic NatWest Trophy win over England in 2002. The moment is one of the most memorable celebrations in Indian cricket history.
Sharing the poster on social media, the makers wrote, ‘Happy Birthday, our dearest Dada.’ Ganguly also shared the poster and called it the ‘best birthday gift ever.’ He said he is looking forward to seeing his story on the big screen.
Directed by Vikramaditya Motwane, ‘Dada’: The Sourav Ganguly Story is produced by Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg under Luv Films and presented by T-Series. The film is scheduled to release in theatres on May 14, 2027.
