Collective Studios’ Historyverse is set to develop a new original series based on the life and journey of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh. The series is currently untitled.
According to a PTI report from Mumbai yesterday, the project is being developed in association with Hathiramani Commercial Ventures and will be co-produced by investor and entrepreneur Manish Hathiramani.
The series will focus on Bhagat Singh’s formative years and the experiences that played an important role in shaping his personality, ideas and beliefs.
Rather than only focusing on his role in India’s freedom struggle, the series will look at the influences and circumstances that contributed to the development of his thinking.
The story will be set against the backdrop of India in the early 20th century, a period marked by major political and social changes. The series will explore how the changing environment influenced Singh and how his views evolved over the years.
The makers said the show will trace the journey of Singh’s ideas and convictions, which eventually became an important part of his legacy as one of India’s most recognised national icons.
