Netflix has announced that Hollywood star Chris Rock’s upcoming comedy special will premiere on the platform on March 4.
The special, titled ‘Selective Outrage’ will be Netflix’s first-ever live global stream. It is Rock’s second special for the streaming service, following ‘Tamborine’ in 2018.
Netflix released the official teaser and poster for the special on Sunday, PTI reported from Los Angeles. The teaser, set to Bun B’s ‘The Best Is Back,’ begins with Rock sitting in a dressing room and staring into the camera.
“Chris, they’re ready for you,” a voice in the background later tells him. It then follows the stone-faced Rock backstage and onto the stage, where he is greeted by bright lights and a screaming audience.
Rock had an eventful 2022, and he is expected to open up about his Oscars experience, during which he was slapped by Will Smith for cracking a joke about the Hollywood star’s wife Jada Pinkett Smith.
Though Rock has not publicly addressed the incident, he has reportedly alluded to it during his various stand-up shows across the United States.
