Ahead of the theatrical release of ‘Chand Mera Dil’, the film’s musical team recently came together for an intimate unplugged jam session hosted by filmmaker Karan Johar. The evening saw music composers Sachin-Jigar along with singers Faheem Abdullah, Raghav Chaitanya, Neeti Mohan, Junaid Ahmed, Tushar Joshi and Suvarna Tiwari performing soulful renditions of songs from the film in a relaxed and candid setting.
According to a Sony Music press release, the session celebrated the music of ‘Chand Mera Dil’in its purest form, with the artists sharing stories behind the songs while performing unplugged versions from the film’s album. The gathering reflected the emotional and musical core of the project, creating a warm atmosphere filled with music, laughter and creative camaraderie.
Karan, who attended the session, said there is a special charm in experiencing music in its rawest form. He shared that seeing the entire musical family of ‘Chand Mera Dil’ come together to sing and enjoy the soundtrack made the evening memorable. The filmmaker added that the simplicity and honesty of the performances brought out a different energy altogether.
Music composer duo Sachin-Jigar also spoke about the experience, calling it a wonderful and emotional moment for everyone involved. They said having all the singers and musicians together in such an intimate environment made the connection with the music feel even stronger.
