BULLET Microdrama, backed by ZEE Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (Z), has partnered with global entertainment supply-chain intelligence company Vitrina as it looks to expand beyond India and explore international microdrama markets.
Announced on October 15, the partnership comes as BULLET completes its first year in India. The company plans to build on its experience in developing short-form vertical content by identifying markets where its content, technology and production capabilities can be adapted to local audiences and business models.
Under the partnership, Vitrina’s network across more than 100 countries and its vertical AI platform, VIQI, will provide intelligence on companies, creators, projects and market activity across territories and genres. This is expected to help BULLET identify potential content collaborations, distribution opportunities and co-production partnerships while building relationships with international creators, producers, distributors and streaming platforms.
The collaboration will also support the global expansion of Trinetra AI, helping identify potential international clients and use cases for its technology across the wider entertainment industry.
Azim Lalani, Co-Founder and Chief Business Officer of BULLET Microdrama and Trinetra AI, said the company’s first year had helped it develop an understanding of how short-form vertical stories need to be created, produced and localised for different audiences.
He added that the next step is to identify international markets where these capabilities and its content portfolio can create value. According to Lalani, Vitrina’s industry intelligence and network will help the company approach expansion more strategically while learning from local creators and production ecosystems. The partnership is also expected to open opportunities for Trinetra AI beyond India.
Saurabh Kushwah, Co-Founder and CPTO of BULLET Microdrama and Trinetra AI, highlighted cultural relevance as a key factor in the global distribution of entertainment. He said audiences are more likely to engage with stories that feel familiar to their own cultural context, making localisation an important part of international content expansion.
Kushwah said Trinetra AI is developing technology to help studios and content owners adapt their libraries for global audiences through audience intelligence, AI-powered dubbing, precise lip-sync, visual localisation and cultural adaptation. These capabilities aim to make content localisation faster and more scalable than traditional production workflows.
He added that combining Trinetra AI’s technology with Vitrina’s global industry intelligence and network could help accelerate partnerships among studios, producers, distributors and platforms worldwide.
Atul Phadnis, Founder and CEO of Vitrina, said microdrama was scaling rapidly and that platforms would need to identify the right partners early to capitalise on the format’s growth.
The partnership marks a new phase in BULLET Microdrama’s expansion strategy, with the company looking to take its Indian experience into international markets while developing global opportunities for its content and AI capabilities. Through Vitrina’s intelligence network, BULLET aims to assess opportunities across more than 100 markets and establish partnerships suited to local audiences and distribution models.
