The makers of ‘Bridgerton’ have unveiled the much-awaited trailer of Season 4, confirming that the popular period drama will stream on Netflix from January 29, 2026, with the second part scheduled to premiere on February 26.
The new season promises a fresh romantic arc, shifting focus to Benedict Bridgerton and his pursuit of a mysterious woman who leaves a lasting impression on him.
As per an ANI report, the trailer centres on Benedict’s quest to find Sophie, the enigmatic “Lady in Silver” he encounters at a masked ball. Their first meeting is marked by instant fascination, but Sophie vanishes before Benedict can learn her true identity, setting the stage for a season driven by longing, intrigue and romantic discovery. The trailer captures Benedict describing her as “the most intriguing person he’s ever met,” underlining the emotional pull that defines his journey this season.
Fans of Julia Quinn’s novels will spot several moments lifted directly from the book ‘An Offer From a Gentleman’, on which the season is based. One of the most talked-about sequences from the trailer is the iconic lake scene, where Sophie stumbles upon Benedict while he is taking a skinny dip. A voiceover in the trailer reflects the season’s tone with the line, “With a little imagination, the impossible seems possible,” followed by Violet Bridgerton reminding her son that while dreaming is important, life must also be lived.
Netflix shared the trailer on the official ‘Bridgerton’ Instagram handle, quickly drawing attention from fans eager for the next chapter. According to reports, Season 4 is being described as one of the most faithful adaptations of Quinn’s book series so far, with even Violet’s Joan of Arc costume at the masquerade ball inspired by her look in the novel.
Season 3 saw childhood friends Penelope Featherington and Colin Bridgerton finally turn their long-standing bond into love and marriage. In contrast, Benedict has so far been portrayed as a free-spirited artist, more interested in painting and fleeting romances. His chance encounter with Sophie appears set to change that, bringing a deeper emotional layer to his character.
With romance, mystery and familiar literary moments woven into its narrative, ‘Bridgerton’ Season 4 is shaping up to be a highly anticipated return for the series when it arrives on Netflix early next year.
