Producer Boney Kapoor has officially announced that the much-anticipated period sports drama ‘Maidaan,’ featuring Ajay Devgn, is set to hit the big screens on Eid.
The film is slated to go head-to-head with the action thriller ‘Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,’ starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, PTI reported from Mumbai.
Directed by Amit Ravindernath Sharma, known for the acclaimed film ‘Badhaai Ho,’ ‘Maidaan’ has faced multiple delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Its latest release date was initially set for February 17, 2023.
The confirmation of an Eid release adds to the excitement surrounding the film, marking a significant cinematic clash at the box office.
