After the buzz generated by its heartfelt trailer, ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’—Dinesh Vijan’s upcoming romantic comedy—has unveiled its first song, and it’s already being hailed as the love anthem of the year. Titled ‘Koi Naa’, the track brings together visual warmth, musical soul, and the charming chemistry of lead pair Rajkummar Rao and Wamiqa Gabbi, offering a dreamy glimpse into their love story.
Backed by Maddock Films and Sony Music India, the film is helmed by director Karan Sharma and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release on May 9, 2025. After wowing fans with the teaser and trailer, the film has turned the spotlight onto its music—and ‘Koi Naa’ delivers on every beat, the production house said in a press release.
Composed by Tanishk Bagchi and Gifty, with evocative lyrics by Irshad Kamil, the track is sung by the soulful Shreya Ghoshal and rising star Harnoor. The melody is tender yet powerful, capturing the essence of love through stolen glances and unsaid feelings. The video showcases Rajkummar as Ranjan Tiwari and Wamiqa as Titli Mishra in heartwarming, playful moments that tease their evolving bond.
Rajkummar Rao couldn’t contain his excitement, saying, “The song adds a whole new romantic layer to the story. The first time I heard it, I was hooked—it’s been on loop ever since. It captures the quiet, unspoken emotions of love so beautifully.”
Wamiqa Gabbi shared similar sentiments, calling it one of her favourites from the soundtrack. “Shooting for ‘Koi Naa’ was pure magic. It’s a song that makes you want to dream and feel deeply. I hope the audience connects with it the way we did.”
Singer Shreya Ghoshal described the track as “an exciting ride” that pulls listeners into the whimsical world of Bhool Chuk Maaf, while Harnoor highlighted the emotional depth of the composition. “It captures the most raw and vulnerable state of two individuals in love,” he said, adding that working with Shreya was a dream come true.
Composer Tanishk Bagchi noted that the goal was to create a timeless track. “We wanted something that stays with you—thanks to Irshad’s lyrics and the incredible vocals, I think we’ve achieved that.”
Lyricist Irshad Kamil called the experience of creating ‘Koi Naa’ magical. “It’s not just a song, it’s a feeling brought beautifully to life on screen,” he said.
As anticipation builds for ‘Bhool Chuk Maaf’, the release of ‘Koi Naa’ only adds to the emotional resonance the film is expected to deliver. With a rich mix of humour, heart, and romance wrapped in mystery, the movie promises to be a cinematic ride worth remembering.
