Netflix has unveiled the first teaser trailer of ‘Berlin’ season two, signalling the return of the popular Money Heist spin-off with a fresh, high-stakes heist and a new European setting.
According to a UNI report, the second season, titled Berlin and the Lady with an Ermine, is scheduled to premiere globally in May 2026. The series follows the success of its first season, which debuted in December 2023 and went on to feature in Netflix’s global top 10 charts.
The streaming platform had officially confirmed the return of the show through a ‘First Look’ announcement in late 2025, followed by the release of the teaser trailer in January 2026. Sharing the teaser, Netflix wrote, “The gang is ready for the most artistic heist in history. Teaser trailer of ‘Berlin and The Lady With An Ermine’. Available on May 15.”
Season two will feature eight episodes, with filming having begun earlier this month. While the first season revolved around an ambitious jewel heist in Paris, the new instalment shifts the action to Seville, Spain, and raises the stakes with an art-world twist.
As per Netflix’s official synopsis, the gang reunites to execute a “master heist” centred around the famous painting The Lady with an Ermine. However, the plan is layered with deception. “Berlin and Damián bring the gang together, this time in Seville, to pull off a master heist: pretending to steal the Lady with an Ermine. Pretending? Why? Because their real target is the Duke of Málaga and his wife, a couple who think they can blackmail Berlin. What they don’t expect is that their challenge will awaken Berlin’s darkest side — and his thirst for revenge,” the synopsis reads.
Pedro Alonso returns as the charismatic Berlin, joined once again by Michelle Jenner, Tristán Ulloa, Begoña Vargas, Julio Peña Fernández and Joel Sánchez, reprising their roles from season one. The new season also introduces fresh faces, including Inma Cuesta as Candela, José Luis García-Pérez as the Duke of Málaga, and Marta Nieto as the Duchess of Málaga. Candela’s character is expected to add a romantic angle to the narrative, potentially complicating Berlin’s carefully laid plans.
With a new setting, returning favourites and an art-driven heist at its core, Berlin season two promises to deepen the spin-off’s blend of style, intrigue and emotional conflict when it arrives on Netflix later this year.
