Beamr Imaging has renewed its video optimisation agreement with streaming platform JioHotstar, strengthening its collaboration to enhance large-scale video delivery and improve operational efficiency, according to a report in The Economic Times.
As part of the renewed deal, JioHotstar will continue using Beamr’s patented Content-Adaptive Bitrate technology to optimise video delivery across its catalogue. The technology enables streaming platforms to reduce storage and bandwidth consumption by 30 percent to 50 percent while maintaining video quality, helping manage content delivery at scale, the report added.
Beamr said it has renewed contracts with several major media and entertainment companies in recent months and continues to expand its portfolio of video solutions.
