Atrangii OTT, spearheaded by Vibhu Agarwal, has made its foray into the horror genre with the debut of ‘Kalwa,’ a spine-chilling series featuring actors Karam Rajpal, Tanishq Tiwari, Shaji Choudhary, and Vicky Ahuja.
The show revolves around the harrowing experiences of a troubled couple, Ajay (played by Karam Rajpal) and Sanjana (portrayed by Tanishq Tiwari), grappling with marital discord following the loss of their son and fertility struggles.
As the couple contends with paranormal phenomena, their encounters take a sinister turn with the appearance of Kalwa, an ominous spirit renowned as the most dangerous ghost. Ajay and Sanjana find themselves embroiled in a gripping battle against this formidable entity, setting the stage for a nerve-wracking narrative.
Sharing his insights during the show’s launch, Karam Rajpal expressed, “Shooting for this show in Lucknow was an exhilarating experience. ‘Kalwa’ offers a meticulously crafted storyline about a couple haunted by a malevolent spirit. This marks my first venture into the horror genre, and I must admit that filming amidst the darkness of the jungles at night certainly sent shivers down our spines. The series promises to deliver spine-tingling thrills.”
Vibhu Agarwal, the visionary behind Atrangii OTT, commented on the launch, stating, “Introducing our inaugural horror series with ‘Kalwa’ has been an exhilarating endeavor. Collaborating with Dr. Nitin Mishra, the producer behind this gripping narrative, has been an enriching journey. Building on the success of our previous shows, ‘Ansuni’ and ‘KINK,’ we are thrilled to announce forthcoming seasons and anticipate a resounding response from our audience.”
Nivedita Basu, Senior Vice President Group at Atrangii, highlighted the meticulous efforts invested in assembling an exceptional cast for the series. She expressed confidence in the audience’s reception of ‘Kalwa’ as Atrangii ventures into the realm of horror, underscoring the platform’s commitment to delivering diverse and engaging content experiences.
