Writer, lyricist and author Prasoon Joshi has said that authenticity is important for making stories connect with audiences and stay relevant for a long time.
According to a PTI report from Mumbai today, Joshi spoke about storytelling at FICCI Frames 2026 and said that storytelling connects different forms of creative work, including advertising, films, music and literature.
Joshi said that creators should draw from real and lived experiences while telling stories. He explained that genuine emotions and experiences can help audiences connect with the content.
He also spoke about the changing content landscape and said that while algorithms can help content get attention, authenticity can help creative work stay relevant over time.
Joshi also discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on creative work. He said AI can generate different creative options, but the process could reduce the joy of creating for creators.
He added that AI works with information that has already been expressed and turned into data, while human creativity can still explore ideas and experiences that have not yet been expressed.
