Ashok Pathak to make Hindi feature debut with ‘Rani Drycleanerss’

Actor Ashok Pathak, best known for playing Binod in the popular web series Panchayat, is set to make his Hindi feature film debut as a leading man with ‘Rani Drycleanerss’, the makers announced on Thursday, PTI reported.

Pathak has appeared in several shows and films in supporting and bit roles, but it was his portrayal of Binod in ‘Panchayat’ that brought him widespread recognition. His character, known for his distinct personality and quirks as a villager, became particularly popular among audiences, with the dialogue ‘Dekh raha hai, Binod’ turning into a widely used meme.

‘Rani Drycleanerss’ is produced by Maansi Guptey, known for the Marathi feature ‘Colorphool’, along with Anish Kumar and Dushyant Sand. The film is directed by filmmaker Sagar Kumar Sharma.

The announcement marks a new phase in Pathak’s career as he moves into a lead role in a Hindi feature film following his popularity as Binod.
