Applause Entertainment, a venture of the Aditya Birla Group, has entered into an exclusive partnership with Story TV to co-produce a slate of premium micro-dramas, signalling a strong push toward redefining short-form storytelling for mobile-first audiences, multiple media reports stated yesterday.
The collaboration will see both companies develop and distribute a range of new-age micro-dramas across multiple genres, tapping into the rapidly growing demand for bite-sized, high-quality content.
As part of the deal, Story TV will also acquire rights to the romantic-thriller series ‘Hello Mini’ and adapt it into a vertical micro-drama format, aligning with evolving mobile viewing habits.
Commenting on the collaboration, Saurabh Pandey, Founder and CEO of Story TV, said the platform has been at the forefront of combining storytelling with technology to push micro-dramas into the mainstream and that the partnership with Applause Entertainment is expected to broaden the reach.
