Anurag Kashyap’s latest directorial masterpiece, ‘Kennedy’, is set to take center stage as the closing night film at the prestigious 14th Indian Film Festival of Melbourne (IFFM).
An excited Kashyap expressed his delight at the film’s selection for the closing night slot. He said, “I am thrilled that ‘Kennedy’ has been chosen as the closing film at IFFM.
“This marks the first Indian film festival where our movie will be showcased to the world. I am eagerly looking forward to witnessing the audience’s response. I’ll be there to gauge their reactions, and I’m confident that they will embrace the film, just like the global audience who have already had the opportunity to experience it.”
Having already earned accolades at the esteemed Cannes Film Festival, ‘Kennedy’ now adds another feather to its cap with this major achievement, ANI reported.
Under Kashyap’s skillful direction, ‘Kennedy’ boasts an impressive cast, including Sunny Leone, Rahul Bhatt and Abhilash Thapliyal in leading roles. The film delves into the life of an insomniac ex-cop, presumed dead but still entangled in the corrupt system while seeking redemption.
The closing night ceremony promises to be star-studded, with numerous celebrities gracing the event. Kashyap, accompanied by Sunny Leone and Rahul Bhat, will be present to discuss their film and interact with the audience.
