Anil Kapoor has officially started filming for his new movie ‘Subedar’, an action-drama set to premiere on Prime Video.
Directed by Suresh Triveni, known for ‘Tumhari Sulu’ and ‘Jalsa’, the film marks Kapoor’s next major project following his recent roles in ‘Fighter’ and ‘Animal’. Prime Video announced the filming with a social media post, stating, “From the frontlines to the hometown – a fauji never backs down! #Subedaar, Now Filming!, PTI reported.
‘Subedar’ follows the journey of Arjun Singh, a retired army officer, as he navigates civilian life and confronts new personal battles. The official synopsis reveals that Singh, a man who once fought on the frontlines, must now face challenges at home, dealing with family tensions and social obstacles to protect those he loves. Triveni co-wrote the screenplay with Prajwal Chandrashekar.
Produced by Abundantia Entertainment, Opening Image, and Anil Kapoor Film & Communication Network Pvt. Ltd., ‘Subedar’ is described as an “adrenaline-fueled action drama.”
