Amazon has released the trailer for its upcoming romantic comedy ‘The Love Hypothesis’, starring Lili Reinhart and Tom Bateman. The film will stream globally on Prime Video from September 23.

Based on Ali Hazelwood’s New York Times bestselling romance novel, ‘The Love Hypothesis’ follows Olive, a Ph.D. candidate determined to build a career in academia. When she learns that her best friend Ahn is interested in Olive’s crush, Jeremy, Olive impulsively kisses her intimidating professor, Adam Carlsen, to convince Ahn that she has moved on.

The spontaneous kiss leads Olive and Adam into a fake relationship governed by rules and boundaries. But what begins as a mutually beneficial arrangement gradually becomes difficult to distinguish from genuine romance, forcing Olive to reconsider her own theories about love.

Reinhart plays Olive, while Bateman portrays Adam. The supporting cast includes Rachel Marsh as Ahn and Nicholas Duvernay as Jeremy.

Claire Scanlon directs the film from a screenplay by Sarah Rothschild, adapted from Hazelwood’s novel.
