Amazon MX Player has unveiled the trailer of its upcoming original series ‘Amar Vishwas’, a gritty courtroom drama that probes the uneasy intersection of power, crime and justice.
Headlined by Rajeev Khandelwal, with Ravi Behl, Aamir Ali and Barkha Bisht in key roles, the series is set to stream for free from February 11, 2026, exclusively on the platform.
According to a press release issued by Amazon MX Player, ‘Amar Vishwas’ positions itself as a high-stakes legal thriller where truth is rarely straightforward and justice comes at a personal cost. The trailer sets the tone for a tense narrative that blends courtroom confrontations with investigative depth, anchored by a central character who refuses to accept surface-level answers.
The trailer opens with the brutal murder of an influential film producer, Jessu Momin, a case quickly branded by the media as an “open-and-shut” affair. Suspicion falls on Bahar Chakravarty, a young woman already condemned in the court of public opinion. Enter Amar Vishwas, an unconventional and razor-sharp lawyer who believes that facts alone seldom tell the full story. As he takes on Bahar’s defence, Amar begins peeling back layers of exploitation, manipulation and buried secrets, uncovering a conspiracy far darker than it initially appears.
Based on acclaimed novels by Suhas Shirvalkar, the series is created and produced by Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar under the banner of GSEAMS, known for the much-lauded show Samantar. ‘Amar Vishwas’ blends the intensity of courtroom drama with the grit of investigative crime, pitting its protagonist against formidable legal minds, including his former mentor, while he races against time to establish motive, means and opportunity. At its core, the series asks a disturbing question: when the truth finally emerges, will it lead to justice?
Amogh Dusad, Director and Head of Content at Amazon MX Player, said the show draws inspiration from Suhas Shirvalkar’s enduring literary legacy. He noted that the platform is consciously adapting iconic Indian literary voices to tell stories rooted in local culture and emotion, adding that ‘Amar Vishwas’ reflects Amazon MX Player’s larger vision of creating narratives that feel authentic and resonate deeply with audiences.
Rajeev Khandelwal described Amar Vishwas as far from a conventional courtroom hero, calling him flawed, instinctive and driven by a fierce sense of justice for those without a voice. He said the character’s moral tension, where every truth uncovered comes at a price, was what drew him to the role. Aamir Ali added that the conflict in the series feels grounded and real, with legal battles shaped as much by power and perception as by the law itself.
Ravi Behl said the show resists quick answers, allowing characters and situations to unfold organically. He noted that this measured pace gives the narrative its depth and keeps viewers invested as the layers of the case are gradually revealed. Creators Arjun Singgh Baran and Kartk D Nishandar said their effort was to honour the moral depth and emotional honesty of Shirvalkar’s writing while shaping it for a contemporary audience through layered storytelling and a legal world that feels lived-in and real.
With tense courtroom showdowns, complex investigations and a protagonist willing to bend rules in pursuit of truth, ‘Amar Vishwas’ is poised to add a compelling chapter to Amazon MX Player’s original slate. The series will be available from February 11, 2026, across the MX Player app, Amazon shopping app, Prime Video, Fire TV and connected TVs.
