Hindi film actress Alia Bhatt and ace filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali on Thursday announced their much-awaited film, ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’, will arrive in theatres next year on January 6, starring Ajay Devgn in the lead role.
The biographical crime drama film is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and written by S Hussain Zaidi.
Announcing the release date of the film, Bhansali Productions took to Instagram and wrote, “The wait to witness her power, strength & resilience ends. Bringing to you a stem-winding story of #GangubaiKathiawadi on 6th January 2022, in cinemas near you.”
The film is produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Jayantilal Gada and is the reunion between superstar Ajay Devgn and Bhansali after the 1999 iconic film ‘Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam’.
