Bharti Airtel, one of India’s leading telecom giants, has officially launched its Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) services across 2000 cities, offering a seamless blend of live TV and streaming content. With this move, Airtel aims to redefine home entertainment by combining high-speed Wi-Fi, 600+ television channels, and access to 29 premium streaming apps—all in one package.
According to a press release, under the IPTV plans, customers will be able to watch content from Netflix, Apple TV+, Amazon Prime, SonyLIV, ZEE5, and many more, alongside traditional linear TV. The service is available with internet plans starting at just Rs.699 per month, making it one of the most comprehensive entertainment solutions in India.
Speaking on the launch, Siddharth Sharma, CEO – Connected Homes and CMO, Bharti Airtel, shared the company’s vision behind the new service, “The launch heralds a new era in home entertainment, where cutting-edge technology seamlessly blends traditional TV with streaming apps for an immersive digital experience. Backed by Airtel’s high-speed Wi-Fi, we are certain that consumers will enjoy a fantastic converged home experience with Airtel IPTV.”
Airtel has introduced five IPTV plans, catering to different internet speed requirements. The base plan starts at Rs.699, offering 40 Mbps speed with access to 26 streaming apps and 350 TV channels. Higher-tier plans provide faster speeds and additional content. The premium Rs.3,999 plan delivers a 1 Gbps connection, 29 streaming apps (including Netflix, Apple TV+, and Amazon Prime), and the same 350+ TV channels.
To make the service more appealing, Airtel is offering up to 30 days of free IPTV access for new customers who purchase an IPTV plan. This offer can be availed through the Airtel Thanks App.
The IPTV rollout covers most of India but will take a few more weeks to reach Delhi, Rajasthan, Assam, and the Northeastern states. Customers in these regions can expect the service launch soon.
New Customers:
- Those purchasing new Airtel Wi-Fi plans will automatically gain access to IPTV.
- The service can be booked via www.airtel.in or by visiting the nearest Airtel store.
Existing Airtel Wi-Fi Customers:
