Tuesday marked a significant milestone for Airtel as it unveiled its groundbreaking self-service marketing communications platform, Airtel IQ Reach. Designed to empower small businesses, the telecom giant’s latest offering allows them to tap into Airtel’s vast user base effortlessly.
The key highlight of Airtel IQ Reach is its commitment to protecting users from unwanted spam messages. Before sending any marketing communication, the platform seeks explicit consent from the recipients. Currently operational for communications via WhatsApp, Airtel IQ Reach will soon extend its capabilities to include SMS and voice services, Business Standard reported.
During a press conference, Abhishek Biswal, Airtel‘s Head for Digital Product, shed light on the platform’s functionality. Businesses will be provided with a curated list of Airtel users within a specified area. To ensure data privacy and user consent, Airtel has diligently sought permission from its users for this feature.
The inception of Airtel IQ Reach was partly in response to the directives issued by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (Trai) in early June. Trai had mandated telecom companies to develop new digital content authorization (DCA) facilities within two months, aiming to regulate and manage consent given by customers for receiving commercial communication.
Airtel proudly touted Airtel IQ Reach as the world’s first network-embedded Communications Platform as a Service (CPaaS). Geared towards businesses with a marketing budget ranging from 10,000 to 1,00,000 per month, the platform opens a gateway for small businesses to design customized messages, select their target audience, schedule campaigns, and monitor effectiveness.
The centralized dashboard of Airtel IQ Reach offers real-time insights and comprehensive analytics, empowering businesses to gauge the success of their marketing endeavors accurately.
Abhishek Biswal expressed his excitement about the innovative solution, stating, “Our customers can now capitalize on the platform for their business growth even as they reduce their customer acquisition costs and target the right audience at the right time with the right personalized communication through our innovative solution.” With Airtel IQ Reach, businesses can revolutionize their marketing strategies and reach new heights of success.
