Bharti Airtel yesterday announced that its ultra-fast 5G service is now accessible to users in 3,000 cities and towns throughout India.
According to a press release, all significant urban and rural areas of the country have limitless access to Airtel 5G Plus service, which include places like Katra in Jammu to Kannur in Kerala, Patna in Bihar to Kanyakumari in Tamil Nadu, Itanagar in Arunachal Pradesh to the Union Territory of Daman and Diu.
“Bridging every town and key rural area in India by September 2023 remains our commitment, as we add 30-40 cities/towns every day. We are seeing rapid adoption of 5G among customers in both urban and rural India,” said Randeep Sekhon, CTO of Bharti Airtel, in a statement.
Further, the business announced the provision of limitless 5G data for its users to encourage them to experience the capabilities of the Airtel 5G Plus network.
“Customers will now be able to experience ultrafast, reliable, and secure 5G Plus services without worrying about data exhaustion, as Airtel removes data usage caps across all existing plans,” the company stated.
Airtel has also set up 5G experience zones in all of its retail locations across the country so that customers can test out the speedy Airtel 5G Plus service.
The business said in February that it had reached 10 million unique consumers on its 5G network.
The business intends to offer its Airtel 5G services in every town and key rural areas by the end of March 2024.
