In a major move aimed at transforming the creator ecosystem, Adobe and YouTube have announced a global partnership designed to help creators produce high-quality content and expand their audiences.
The announcement was made at Adobe MAX, the world’s largest creativity conference, where Adobe revealed the collaboration that merges Adobe Premiere’s industry-leading video editing tools with the vast reach of YouTube Shorts.
According to an Adobe press release, the partnership will introduce a new content creation space called Create for YouTube Shorts, coming soon to the Premiere mobile app. This dedicated feature will enable millions of YouTube creators to create, edit, and publish Shorts directly within Premiere mobile. The new space will also allow users to save and create templates, share their own creative styles, and inspire others within the Shorts community, fostering a new wave of trends and collaborations.
The Create for YouTube Shorts feature in Premiere mobile will provide creators with everything they need to make standout short-form videos — from exclusive effects and transitions to customizable templates. Adobe said the new tools are tailored to support creators producing a wide variety of content, including vlogs, travel videos, behind-the-scenes footage, and much more.
YouTube’s Vice President of Engineering, Scott Silver, joined Adobe’s Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Digital Media, Ely Greenfield, on stage at MAX to discuss the partnership with the global creative community. “We’re excited to partner with YouTube to give creators the power to produce, share, and grow on the world’s biggest stage,” said Greenfield. “YouTube Shorts has become the ultimate launchpad for creators, and bringing Adobe Premiere mobile’s pro-grade tools to millions of creators helps them make amazing content and reach new audiences.”
Silver added, “Our goal at YouTube is to meet creators where they are and give everyone the tools they need to make storytelling easier and connect with their audiences. This partnership with Adobe to integrate YouTube Shorts into Premiere mobile will give creators even more choice and access to more editing features to produce content the way they want, unlocking new ways for them to connect with viewers globally.”
The Create for YouTube Shorts section will be accessible directly from YouTube by tapping the “Edit in Adobe Premiere” icon on Shorts. The space will offer exclusive effects, transitions, and title presets, along with ready-to-use templates to help creators polish their videos with professional-quality finishes. Users will also be able to create and share their own templates to inspire others and start new trends on the platform.
Beyond YouTube integration, the feature will include all the advanced tools of Premiere mobile — including studio-quality audio through Generative Sound Effects, Firefly-powered AI capabilities, and professional-level editing options. Adobe, which launched Premiere mobile in September, aims to bring its best-in-class video editing technology to a new generation of creators eager to produce engaging and viral content.
The Create for YouTube Shorts content creation space in Premiere mobile is expected to roll out soon, marking a significant step in empowering creators to take their storytelling to the next level.
