ITV has announced the appointment of Ade Rawcliffe as Chief People Officer, effective January 2025. Rawcliffe, currently serving as the Group Director of Diversity and Inclusion, will take over from David Osborn, the current Chief People Officer, who will leave ITV in Spring 2025. The two will work closely over the coming months to ensure a smooth transition.
In her new role, Rawcliffe will oversee the Group Human Resources and Global Risk Operations teams, including ITV’s Duty of Care initiatives, while continuing her leadership in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I). With over 20 years of experience in the television industry, including roles at the BBC, Channel 4, and ITV, Rawcliffe brings a wealth of knowledge in production, commissioning, and diversity leadership, the company said in a press note.
Since joining ITV in 2017, Rawcliffe has spearheaded various impactful initiatives, including the creation of ITV’s £80 million Diversity Commissioning Fund and the launch of leadership development programs such as Amplify. She has been instrumental in ITV’s progress in DE&I and talent development.
ITV CEO Carolyn McCall expressed confidence in Rawcliffe’s appointment, stating, “Ade will be a great success in her new expanded role,” while thanking David Osborn for his “enormous contribution” to the company. Rawcliffe, in turn, expressed her excitement to support ITV’s people teams and drive further progress on diversity and inclusion.
