Actor Abhishek Bachchan is set to add his comedic flair to the upcoming installment of the beloved Housefull franchise as he joins the cast of ‘Housefull 5’.
Co-starring alongside Bollywood stalwarts Akshay Kumar and Riteish Deshmukh, the ensemble comedy is scheduled to kick off filming in August in the UK.
Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by renowned filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala, ‘Housefull 5’ marks Bachchan’s return to the franchise after his appearance in ‘Housefull 3’ in 2016.
Expressing his excitement, Bachchan stated, “Housefull is one of my favorite comedy franchises, and coming back feels like returning home. It’s always been a great pleasure to work with Sajid Nadiadwala. I am looking forward to having mad fun on the sets with my fellow actors Akshay and Ritesh.”
Furthermore, Bachchan is thrilled to reunite with director Tarun Mansukhani, who previously helmed the hit film ‘Dostana’ in 2008. “This is going to be a lot of fun,” he added.
Producer Sajid Nadiadwala echoed Bachchan’s sentiments, expressing his enthusiasm for bringing the actor back into the Housefull fold. “His dedication, comic timing, and sincerity will only elevate our film,” Nadiadwala commented.
‘Housefull 5‘ is scheduled for release on June 6, 2025, promising audiences another dose of laughter and entertainment from this beloved franchise.
