The Advertising Club (TAC) is set to unveil the 55th edition of the ABBY One Show Awards, South Asia’s distinguished hallmark celebrating creative brilliance in advertising for over five decades.
Scheduled from May 29 to 31in Goa, this premier event is a collaboration with The One Show for the third consecutive year, aiming to raise global judging standards and transparency, The Advertising Club said in a press release.
Renowned as the nation’s largest and most prestigious advertising award show, the ABBYs not only secure domestic acclaim but also translate into international recognition at esteemed events such as Cannes and One Show.
This year’s awards will represent the South Asia region, including India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Bangladesh, and Pakistan, continuing the tradition since 2004.
Rana Barua, Group CEO of Havas India and TAC President, expressed pride in the ABBY legacy, stating, “As we celebrate this milestone, our commitment to raising the bar remains unwavering.”
The partnership with The One Show aims to amplify the ABBYs’ global presence and authenticity.
Prasanth Kumar, CEO of GroupM South Asia and President of Advertising Agencies Association of India, highlighted the ABBY Awards’ growth, marking milestones and recognizing outstanding work. The collaboration with the Advertising Club emphasizes the shared commitment to nurturing creativity within the industry.
Ajay Kakar, Chairperson of The ABBY One Show Awards 2024, emphasized the awards’ unique role in recognizing and nurturing industry talent.
“As we embark on this 55th edition, we eagerly look forward to witnessing outstanding creative work that will undoubtedly set new benchmarks and inspire the industry at large,” he added.
The ABBY One Show Awards will be an integral part of Goafest 2024, marking the 15th ABBY Awards at the festival.
