Superstar Aamir Khan’s sports comedy-drama ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ is set to make its streaming debut on SonyLIV nearly a year after its theatrical release, the platform announced on Monday.
Directed by R. S. Prasanna, the film was released in cinemas across India in June 2025 and went on to collect over Rs.250 crore at the box office. The movie received widespread appreciation for its heartwarming narrative and performances, resonating strongly with audiences during its theatrical run.
SonyLIV said the film’s upcoming streaming premiere will also mark a significant milestone for the platform. ‘Sitaare Zameen Par’ will become the first Hindi theatrical film to debut on the streaming service, expanding the platform’s slate of premium film content.
The sports comedy-drama, which blends emotion with humour and inspiration, is expected to reach a wider digital audience with its arrival on SonyLIV, bringing the story to viewers who may have missed its theatrical release.
