Actor Aamir Khan has spoken about his emotional connection with his latest film ‘Ek Din’, revealing that the story resonates deeply with his own personal experiences from his younger years.
According to a UNI report, the actor shared that the central character in the romantic drama reminds him strongly of his teenage self. The film, backed by Aamir Khan Productions, features Junaid Khan as a shy young man who falls in love with a confident girl played by Sai Pallavi, a narrative that Aamir says mirrors his own journey growing up.
Opening up about the connection, Aamir said he too struggled with confidence during his teenage years and often felt unsure about expressing himself, especially around girls. He noted that, much like the protagonist in the film, he once believed he might never find love, making the story feel personal and relatable when he first heard it.
The film also marks a reunion between Aamir and filmmaker Mansoor Khan, a collaboration that has previously delivered memorable films such as ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’, ‘Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikandar’, ‘Akele Hum Akele Tum,’ and ‘Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na’. Their return to the romance genre has generated considerable excitement among audiences.
Directed by Sunil Pandey and produced by Aamir Khan, Mansoor Khan and Aparna Purohit, ‘Ek Din’ has already drawn attention for its tender, emotionally grounded narrative, with viewers keen to see how the story unfolds on screen.
