Balaji Telefilms Limited has announced the resignation of Hamavvand Chwda, who served as the company’s group head – commercial & administration.
According to a regulatory filing submitted to the BSE and the National Stock Exchange (NSE) under SEBI regulations, Chwda resigned from his position due to personal reasons. His resignation became effective on June 9, 2026.
Chwda had been associated with Balaji Telefilms since 1999, making his exit the end of a long journey with the company. He brings more than 26 years of experience in the media and entertainment industry.
Before strengthening his role at Balaji Telefilms, Chwda worked in several key positions across the industry. He served as chief operating officer – television at Beyond Dreams Entertainment from 2014 to 2017.
He also worked as head of operations at DJ’s A Creative Unit and Cinemantra Entertainment & Media. earlier in his career, he held production management roles at Endemol India.
