ZEE secures 12+ marquee brands for FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage

Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd. (ZEE) has secured partnerships with more than 12 leading brands for its coverage of the FIFA World Cup 2026, underlining the growing commercial appeal of football in India and the tournament’s significance for advertisers seeking large-scale audience engagement.

The broadcaster has onboarded brands across categories including automobiles, FMCG, BFSI, beverages, technology and lifestyle. Mahindra has joined as the Co-Presenting Sponsor, while Diageo has come on board as the Co-Powered By Sponsor. Other major brands associated with the event include Apple, Pernod Ricard and Mondelez, among others.

The strong advertiser response comes ahead of the global football tournament, with ZEE leveraging its sports network, Unite8 Sports, and streaming platform ZEE5 to offer integrated marketing solutions across television and digital platforms. The company said it continues to hold discussions with several additional brands across multiple sectors as it builds momentum around the event.

To maximize audience reach and engagement, ZEE has developed customized sponsorship packages spanning linear television, digital platforms, connected TV (CTV), social media and on-ground activations. The strategy is designed to allow brands to engage with football fans throughout the tournament journey, from pre-event awareness and live match viewing to post-match conversations and fan interactions.

The company plans to integrate brands across live match broadcasts, studio shows, digital experiences and storytelling initiatives driven by fan narratives. Through its combined television and digital ecosystem, ZEE aims to deliver consistent visibility and audience engagement across platforms while offering advertisers greater flexibility to tailor campaigns according to business objectives and target demographics.

Commenting on the response from advertisers, Sandeep Mehrotra, Chief Operating Officer – Advertisement Revenue at Zee Entertainment Enterprises Ltd., said the strong interest from brands reflects the increasing popularity of football and the FIFA World Cup among Indian audiences. He noted that the company’s integrated television and digital approach enables advertisers to connect with fans throughout the entire viewing journey while delivering measurable business outcomes.

According to ZEE, the FIFA World Cup 2026 coverage will be supported by a comprehensive cross-platform strategy that combines the reach of traditional broadcasting with the growing influence of digital streaming.
