Mumbai Indians’ UK franchise MI London has strengthened its commercial portfolio ahead of the upcoming season of The Hundred cricket tourney by signing fintech firm Sokin as front-of-shirt partner and tyre manufacturer BKT Tyres as an official partner of the franchise, the club announced in separate statements this week.
Under the agreement with Sokin, the global payments company will feature on the front of MI London’s playing shirts during The Hundred season. The partnership also marks Sokin’s continued expansion in global sport, with the company positioning itself alongside leading cricket and football properties.
MI London in a statement said the deal would bring together two brands with international ambitions and strong fan engagement strategies.
The Hundred is a fast-paced 100-ball cricket format introduced by the England and Wales Cricket Board with an aim to make the game simpler. The 2026 edition starts July 21 with an opening double-header at the Kia Oval. The tournament concludes at Lord’s on August 16.
Commenting on the partnership, Sokin chief executive officer Vroon Modgill said the company was excited to join forces with MI London and deepen its association with sport.
“MI London represents excellence, innovation and global ambition, values that strongly align with Sokin’s own vision,” he said. MI London officials said the agreement would help both brands expand their reach among cricket audiences in the UK and internationally.
The club also announced that India-based BKT Tyres had joined the “MI London family” as an official partner for The Hundred. BKT, regarded as a leading manufacturer in the off-highway tyre segment, has been steadily increasing its presence in global cricket through franchise partnerships across major T20 competitions.
MI London said the collaboration reflected the growing commercial appeal of the franchise ahead of its debut season under the new identity.
Rajiv Poddar, Joint Managing Director of Balkrishna Industries Ltd.(owners of BKT Tyres), said the company viewed cricket as a powerful platform to connect with audiences worldwide.
“We are delighted to partner with MI London and further strengthen our association with world-class cricket properties,” he said. MI London officials added that BKT’s global footprint and long-term commitment to sport made it a natural fit for the franchise’s expanding commercial ecosystem.
MI London — a joint venture between Surrey County Cricket Club and Reliance Strategic Business Ventures Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Reliance Industries — is part of the Mumbai Indians global cricket network. The Ambani family-backed group also owns franchises in the Indian Premier League, SA20, Major League Cricket and the UAE’s ILT20. The London-based team competes in The Hundred and plays its home matches at The Oval.
