Netflix India has strengthened its marketing leadership team with the appointment of Nikita Arya as Marketing Manager – Films and Series. Bringing over 12 years of experience across consumer brands, sportswear, automotive and technology sectors, Arya joins the streaming giant at a time when competition in India’s rapidly evolving OTT market continues to intensify.
The development was shared by Arya through a LinkedIn post, where she described the move as a transition from “culture-first marketing” to becoming part of a company that actively shapes culture through storytelling. The appointment marks a significant addition to Netflix India’s content and consumer marketing team as the platform continues to invest in building stronger connections with audiences across the country.
Arya joins Netflix after serving as Integrated Marketing Manager at The Coca-Cola Company, where she led culture-driven campaigns and developed scalable brand properties across the company’s beverage portfolio. Her work included notable campaigns such as Sprite Joke in a Bottle, Sprite Hottest Day, Thums Up Toofani Biryani and Limca Sportz, helping strengthen consumer engagement across multiple brands.
Prior to Coca-Cola, Arya spent more than four years at adidas India, where she managed brand initiatives across both adidas and Reebok. Her responsibilities spanned brand strategy, media planning, influencer marketing, sponsorships, customer relationship management and experiential campaigns. The experience helped establish her reputation as a versatile marketing professional capable of handling large-scale consumer-facing initiatives.
Her professional journey has also included roles at Unilever India, Audi India and HCL Technologies, giving her exposure to a diverse range of industries and brand-building environments.
Reflecting on her new role, Arya said she has always been passionate about creating stories, brands and intellectual properties that resonate with people. She added that the most effective marketing does not interrupt culture but contributes to it, a philosophy that aligns closely with Netflix’s content-driven approach.
As streaming platforms increasingly compete for audience attention through original films and series, Arya’s appointment signals Netflix India’s continued focus on strengthening its marketing capabilities. With her extensive experience in building culturally relevant campaigns, she is expected to play a key role in shaping how Netflix’s upcoming stories connect with viewers across India.
