A lively and nostalgic moment unfolded on ‘Tum Ho Naa’ as host Rajeev Khandelwal brought classic Bollywood charm to the stage, recreating the iconic pairing of Anil Kapoor and Sridevi during a fun interaction with a contestant.
According to a Sony press release, the moment came alive when contestant Deepa Bhatia, a self-confessed Sridevi fan, expressed her wish to relive the magic of the legendary on-screen duo. She requested Rajeev to step into Anil Kapoor’s shoes while she imagined herself as Sridevi, even bringing along a fake moustache for him to complete the look, instantly setting a playful tone on stage.
Sporting the moustache with enthusiasm, Rajeev responded to Deepa’s excitement with his trademark wit, joking about resembling Anil Kapoor. What followed was a spirited performance as he danced to the classic track ‘Rabne Banaya Tujhe Mere Liye,’ drawing cheers from the audience and adding to the segment’s entertainment quotient.
The light-hearted exchange continued with another contestant adding a humorous compliment, comparing Rajeev’s smile to an iconic dialogue. The host, staying true to his grounded persona, responded modestly, keeping the mood candid and relatable. The segment peaked when a playful remark about him being a favourite among “aunties” left Rajeev blushing, with the entire set breaking into laughter.
The episode highlighted Rajeev Khandelwal’s ability to connect effortlessly with participants, blending humour, spontaneity and warmth. Moments like these continue to make ‘Tum Ho Naa’ an engaging watch, offering a mix of entertainment and heartfelt interactions.
The show, hosted by Rajeev Khandelwal, airs at 9 pm on Sony Entertainment Television and is also available for streaming on Sony LIV.
