Times Network has stepped into the podcast space with the launch of ‘Baatein Dil Se’, a new show hosted by senior journalist and Times Group Editor-in-Chief Navika Kumar. Known for her sharp and uncompromising presence on prime-time television, Kumar is now set to explore a more personal and reflective format through this venture.
According to a Times Group press release, the podcast marks a shift from the high-intensity debates she is known for, opening up space for deeper, more meaningful conversations. With Baatein Dil Se, Kumar moves beyond tough interrogations to engage in free-flowing discussions with individuals shaping the idea of a changing India.
The podcast aims to focus on depth, nuance and authenticity, bringing together stories that go beyond headlines. It will feature a diverse mix of voices, including leaders, changemakers, cultural influencers and emerging personalities, with each episode designed to reveal not just viewpoints but the human stories behind them. While the tone may be more relaxed, the core of Kumar’s journalistic approach—balancing accountability with empathy—remains intact.
The first episode features Satinder Sartaaj, the acclaimed Punjabi singer, poet and Sufi artist, who is currently enjoying success with ‘Jaiye Sajana’ from ‘Dhurandhar 2’. His appearance sets the tone for the kind of conversations the podcast intends to host, blending cultural insight with personal storytelling.
With ‘Baatein Dil Se’, Navika Kumar expands her presence beyond television, embracing a format that allows for time, reflection and honest dialogue. The first episode will go live on April 30 at 7 pm on the official YouTube channel of Times Now.
