Sony Sports Network is gearing up for one of its most ambitious cricket seasons yet, announcing a blockbuster run of Team India action from May 28 through Diwali under its new campaign ‘Goonjega India’. With a packed calendar spanning multiple tours and tournaments, the network aims to deliver near non-stop cricketing action across formats for fans in India.
The announcement, shared via Sony Sports Network’s YouTube channel, outlines an expansive programming slate that brings together 10 major India series on television, with nine also set to stream on Sony LIV. The line-up blends marquee international tours with multi-nation competitions and continental events, positioning the network as a key destination for cricket this season.
The action kicks off with the India Women’s Tour of England, featuring three T20 Internationals and a Test match scheduled between May and July. This will be followed by the much-anticipated India Tour of England in July, comprising five T20Is and three ODIs. The momentum continues with the India Tour of Sri Lanka in August and a crucial away series against New Zealand across October and November.
Adding further depth to the calendar is cricket at the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, where both men’s and women’s T20 competitions will take place between September 17 and October 3. The network will also bring key Asian Cricket Council events to viewers, including the Women’s Asia Cup 2026, Men’s Rising Stars Asia Cup 2026, U19 Men’s Asia Cup 2026, and U19 Women’s Asia Cup 2026.
Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head – Sports and International at Sony Pictures Networks India, said the initiative reflects cricket’s enduring appeal in the country. He noted that ‘Goonjega India’ is designed to bring fans closer to the game through a comprehensive mix of high-profile international clashes and emerging tournaments, creating one of the most compelling cricket line-ups on Indian television.
With a continuous stream of fixtures across formats and teams, Sony Sports Network is positioning this season as a long, immersive cricketing journey, ensuring that fans stay engaged from the start of summer right through the festive season.
